Future for Faso Children

We aim to provide health and education to children in Burkina Faso (West-Africa). We want to establish and maintain training facilities (libraries, tutoring centers, scholarships, aids awareness programs, etc.), develop agricultural facilities, provide health centers and dispensaries for children and youth. Our goal is to help them become self sufficient and productive community members.

We will achieve our goal by helping one village at a time, or even one school at a time... We are committed to raising funds in order to carry out our mission.

Together we can give young girls and boys a promising future.

“In every child who is born, under no matter what circumstances and no matter what parents, the potentiality of the human race is born again.”

Community Well for the Village of Nafona1  (Koumabara)

Future For Faso Children recently completed a water well in the village of Nafona1. With a population of approximately 5,000, Nafona1 is home to many ethnic groups, including the Gouin. A large community, Nafona1 residents raise livestock and engage in subsistence farming. The village attaches great importance to the education of their children.

Clean drinking water is a critical need for the villagers. A well at the local primary school can not support all the residents needing water. During the annual dry season, the situation worsens. In desperation, the women and children have no choice but to obtain water from polluted rivers and streams, exposing them to many serious water borne illnesses. By providing clean water, Future for Future Children is working to halt the spread of disease and improve health outcomes.

Organization and Operations

Future for Faso Children is a not-for-profit organization under section (501) (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. A volunteer board of directors meets regularly, and is responsible for strategic planning, fundraising, project execution, and volunteer coordination.

Future for Faso Children works with service and volunteer groups including Rotary Clubs. Funds raised locally from donations and special events support FFC projects in the villages of Burkina Faso.
